Good news! The Supreme Court ruled today that the strip search of 13 year old Savana Redding was illegal and unconstitutional.
Justice Stevens wrote on Thursday that “it does not require a constitutional scholar to conclude that a nude search of a 13-year-old child is an invasion of constitutional rights of some magnitude.”
The Supreme Court decided to pass the issue of the school officials liabilty down to the lower courts. Stay tuned. Read my post on the original case here.
